Floor Warming Systems/Repairs
Clarion installs three different types of under floor warming systems, circulating, glycol, electric heat, and gravity air systems. By far our most popular installation is circulating glycol with a tube and shell heat exchanger. This can be the most cost effective under floor warming system over all as it utilizes waste heat from the refrigeration equipment. Glycol is effective for areas ranging from 4,000 SF and larger. Electric heat is a cost effective option for under 4,000 SF, however it is not as energy efficient as glycol. Air is not used as much these days, as it can be troublesome and requires significant maintenance during the lifespan. It does however, have some good applications and with the correct design, it will perform adequately.
